Hein Wagner’s endorsement statement to LeadPath

What if you were born blind? Would you have been where you are, or achieved the things you did if you couldn’t see? Does it take sight to have vision?

Although a rare condition rendered my eyes useless, it didn’t rob me of opportunities. While my journey may have made it more difficult to achieve the same things as my seeing friends – I never let this hold me back. I ran the Antarctica Marathon, Cycled the Cape Epic, Sailed the Cape to Rio Yacht Race, competed in Ironman and broke the Blind Land Speed Record twice. 

My unconquerable spirit is surely a factor in all this, but I can’t take all the praise for these feats. My path was forged through the support of those around me and the innovations that allowed me to navigate over life’s hurdles.  

I’ve always advocated for a holistic approach to solve life’s problems. LeadPath shares my vision by creating pathways to health for those who confront challenges in silence and driving a movement for change.
